The information about baby Jerri from our birth father, combined with the legislated access to adoption records, gave Paula all she needed to determine that I had been adopted by John and Juanita Standridge who lived at that time (late 1940's, early 1950's) in Benton, Tennessee. She also discovered that Dickie had been adopted by the Boyars of Los Angeles. Her brother had grown up only 3.1 miles from where she had been raised, and she never knew it until just then! Armed with this knowledge, Paula then obtained a CD ROM containing names, addresses, and phone numbers of everyone living in the Eastern United States. Looking in the phone directory had proved useful before when Paula was searching for our birth father. It made sense that the same method should work again in her search for me and Jeff.
