I wonder now if the victorious solidarity that we felt then, the overcoming of adversity and doing it against impossible odds, was magnified by our Irish heritage. I wonder if some Jungian Irish zeitgeist was at work. We Delaneys thrive on oppression but you cannot keep us down. We will persevere and we will emerge victorious. Us against the world, man, bring it on, is that all you've got? I'm just saying.
